Merbau comes in a fairly wide range of colour variability, from light browns to medium browns to dark browns. It has a coarse grain with reddish / orange highlights. Many pieces exhibit yellow "flecking" in the pores.
Construction: Three cross-bonded layers. Top Layer: 3 - 4mm valuable wood layer. Middle Layer: 8mm plantation wood core material. Bottom Layer: 2mm rotary cut veneer for stabilizer.
Finish: Treffert Industrial Wood Coating Germany. 5 Layer UV cured acrylic lacquer. Tested to DIN and EN Standards for Abrasion, Impact resistance, Scratch resistance, Flammability, Adhesion and Stain resistance.
Profile: Tongue and groove end matched with a drop down tongue giving a 6mm wear layer.
Fixing: This product should be laid by directly adhering to a sub- floor or by secret nailing to a wooden sub-floor.
